Tampa, Fla. December 12, 2017 – Washlava, the mobile technology startup modernizing laundromats through its patent-pending laundromat app and digital brand, is giving back to the Tampa community this holiday season by dropping the price of all washers and dryers to $1 every Monday through Friday in December.

“The holidays are hard on a lot of families, so we wanted to do our part to give back to the community and say ‘thank you’,” explains Todd Belveal, Washlava founder and CEO. “We have a fantastic customer base that supported us when we launched our new technology this summer – we felt like it was our turn to give back.”

Prices at the Carrollwood laundromat usually range from $1.50 to $7 per load, with the average customer spending nearly $50 per month on laundry.

“It was the easiest washing experience ever,” one customer raved after their first visit to the store. “I didn’t have to go looking for quarters or cash and the app worked flawlessly. I will be going back every time now!”

In addition to dropping prices in December, the laundromat has also partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to collect food donations, recently gifted 83 service members and their families with over $1200 in laundry cycles for Veterans Day, and supported the OnBikes’ recent Tampa bike ride charity.

To make a food donation to Feeding Tampa Bay, visit Washlava at 11819 N Armenia Ave or visit feedingtampabay.org for other locations.

And to take advantage of Washlava’s December Dollar Days, download the Washlava app from the Apple or Google Play app store, create a profile, and pay seamlessly through the mobile app. The app will let you know when your laundry is finished and email you a receipt.
